Our lake is a great spot for members to bring their families for quality bonding time.
East Monongahela Sportsmen's Club stocks the Lake a few times each year, starting with opening day of Trout. We also hold special events for the kids, including an annual Youth Fishing Day. Prizes and other mementos are given to all kids in attendance thanks to generous contributions from local and national outdoors shops.
In 2014, we made improvements to the shores of the lake that helped with drainage. In 2015, we installed new benches surrounding the Lake for our members and their families.
Fishing-specific rules can be found on our Club Rules page. Wounded fish are now to be kept by the angler.
Recently one of our members and his son enjoyed a great day at the club fishing and target shooting. Pictured is his son who caught a trout at the lake.
A great picture from our recent 2019 Youth Fishing Day!
Above and below are 4 pictures sent in by a member of his kids enjoying a day at the lake fishing.
They are all smiles as they make some great catches!
2019 Youth Fishing Day
The 2019 Youth Fishing Day was a great success! Thank you to everyone who helped out, attended, and to all who participated! Thank you again to Coronado Coal Company located in West Virginia for the funds to stock the lake for the event! We also received donations from the following for this years event: Prism Technologies, Moses Electrical Services, Giant Eagle Elizabeth, Wal-Mart Belle Vernon, Lowe's Belle Vernon, Cabela's, Field & Stream, EQT, and one anonymous donor. There were so many great pictures taken during this event that it needed two rows of sliding pictures. (Hover over the side edge of either end picture to make the pictures slide.)
