Thank you to all attendees and all of the helpers that made our inaugural attempt at Long Gong a success!   We had 14 shooters take on the internet sensation game of Long Gong and proved that a .22LR can reliably engage targets at 300 yards.   I know that the club learned a lot about hosting this event and will look forward to doing more of these in the future.  Some had success, some a little perplexed when the wind changed, some were just perplexed but all had smiles.   A huge thank you to the kitchen team at EMSC for opening the club house and providing a full lunch menu following the event.  These things don't go off like this without the target painters, the scorecard chasers and the many others who pitched in and did whatever was needed.

Great to see attendees from East Mon and several other local clubs as well as some long-distance travelers from Ohio and Tennessee (OK - he was in the area, but still.....)

This match was only 40 shots as we were a little concerned about how long this would take to run.  That proved to be unfounded and future matches will be the full 50.   The match winner was not determined until the final shooter was able to hit 15 on the last relay to secure the win by 1 point.   We ran two banks and after some helpful hints from the crew from Power Line Range (Thanks Keith and Jason!!) it went smoothly.   We will probably add a 3rd bank for future events and will not move between banks like we did today.

We also had 1 one shot "Skill Shot" at a 1/2" hole on a big plate - nobody made it, but several close ones - the pot will roll to the next event!

The scores are below along with some attached photos.   Hope to see everyone at our next event and bring a friend!
